millerwb 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Someone posted a pic of a Midge Emerger in the past month or so here. I cannot seem to find it now. It had a hair post, I think. Would like to find other Midge Emerger patterns as well.

pennscreekrules 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 photo gallery I don't fish midges unless I have to, but heres what I use. Just add some cdc to the thorax for an emerger. The body is spanflex twisted till it roles up on itself. Usually tie them in olive, cream, light gray, black.
usual suspect 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Tie up some cdc shuttlecock emergers.... they are widely used in the United Kingdom, especially Scotland where the midge are prolific....I fish them here in the US now and found them to be one of my best flies when midge or tiny olives are emerging. They are so simple and quick to tie.look on the net for shuttlecock midge.shuttlecock emerger etc. good luck, Harry Wallace.
