Spring nymphs

Recommended Posts

Spring? Not yet, as far as the bugs are concerned. This time of year midge pupa (green, black, red), small black stoneflies, bead head pheasant tails in brown and black are good choices. I've heard reports of Skwala stoneflies making an appearance. A big stonefly nymph with olive body, dark thorax and rubber legs might be the ticket. If all else fails...you can't beat a big wire worm or a black wooly bugger.
