Live stream update from the Team!  Fished the Blue River in Oklahoma this morning. Caught two and kept for dinner, caught and released others but called the trip short when I gotta dunking this round.

Thought I broke my GoPro Hero 5 but after drying it out, it works again... lav mic and the battery was done for though.  Did pick up a Hero 8 on sale at Best Buy... good excuse to get another camera.

Did stop at Scotty's One Stop and picked up Producers, White Pat's Rubber Legs, and a Midge that looked promising. This round the Producer and the White Pat's Rubber Leg and an olive one, too worked.

Key this round... dead drift, no movement... just keep the same speed as the bubbles!  Do check back for the full video of today's trip.

Here is the follow-up video of Sunday's trip to the Blue...

Blue River Trout Fishing | Tried Some New Fishing Flies! #blueriverok

Yesterday's trip to the Blue River for another chance at Rainbow Trout. Plan was to stop at Scotty's One Stop to pick up some custom fishing flies - specifically, the Producer. And then, try fishing the low water crossing and the Catch and Release section.

Did get the Producer along with the Pat's Rubber Leg in white and a midge with an orange bead head. Also, did fish the low water crossing.

But, called the trip short when I fell in the river when my wading stick broke.  No worries! Still had a fun time.

PS: Replaced the wooden wading stick with an aluminum walking stick. Lightweight, packs easily, and was only $9.99 at Academy. Will post more on it later.

Suggestion from one of the Facebook Fishing Groups that I am a member. Broke my wooden wading stick that I had for years this past Sunday. Planned to get another stick floating in the river to replace it, and then it was suggested to use Walking Sticks also called Trekking Poles.

Picked this one up at Academy Sports for $9.99! Liking the lightweight aluminum and the telescoping/collapsible function. Moreover, pulled the rubber tip to screw on the mud guard on and noticed a "cleat" like tip already in place.

I think this suggestion will work; plan to use it this Season! More to come!

YouTube Shorts video of the Team fishing the Denison Dam on the Oklahoma side for Striped Bass. Working the video of the trip but here is a snippet of the action. Bite was slow but picked up later once our fishing partner noted the Stripers were lurking by the Oklahoma Wall.

Fishing Denison Dam | Shad Worked for #stripedbass

Day after Thanksgiving decided to fish Denison Dam on the Oklahoma side for a go at the Striped Bass that tend to lurk near the drainage pipe that flows even though they are not generating power or releasing water.

Brought medium spinning gear and the pier rods with the Penn Squall 15 reels that worked well on our trip to Galveston earlier in the year.

Bite was slow but then picked up later once our fishing partner fund them lurking near the far wall.

No Bruisers but still had a great time!

Blue River Fishing | Found a Pattern | Caught Dinner! #oklahomafishing

Fished the Blue River in Oklahoma. Chance of rain and scattered thunderstorms. Decided to take the chance and head north across the border for some trout fishing. Brought rain gear but did not need it.

Warmer than normal temperatures made for a foggy morning; trout were in the river and actively feeding. Some were catching trout consistently. Yours truly had to work at it but did manage to catch a fish or two!

Check out the video.... PS: The Walking Stick made for a great replacement for the Wooden Walking Stick.

Do check out the video, and do let us know how this Season is going for you... "are you catching a trout or two, or more?"
