What I found surprising is the article spends a huge amount of time discussing how picky permit are, and yet that is the fly highlighted. FlatsRoamer 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2017 I tie some permit flies and they usually don't have a keel, but might have to experiment how keeled flies vs non-keeled flies move in the water, and of course whether they get caught up in the grass.
