SBPatt 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2020 From Swedish tyer Thomas Roos; used his fly as a base but it became an adventure in compound loop dubbing, swapping out the CdC body and back, mainly because my CDC supply is pretty much used up. hook - WFC Model 3 #14 thread - MFC 8/0 sand shuck/back - Congo Hair shiner tan abdomen - Ice Dub hare’s ear thorax - dubbing squirrel/hare’s ear legs - deer hair Start thread at 3/4 mark; tie in CH, wrap to bend Dub thread/dub abdomen to 3/4 mark Separate some CH fibers for the shuck, pull the rest over the top, creating a hump; tie down/trim Create thread loop Clean, stack, measure (1.5 x gap width) some deer hair; insert in clip, trim to length, add some dubbing Wax thread loop, insert clip, trap hair/dubbing, spin loop Stroke fibers back, wrap loop, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
