  10. I just ordered Paul Whillocks book Flies as Art. Will I like it?
  11. May i ask what material your using for the legs? They look real nice. Also where can you get the material from.
  12. I fished the outer banks and caught alot on a black and orange clouser with rootbeer colored krystal flash. When fishing in the cheasapeake bay pink and white clousers work well. Like everyone else said use clousers.
  13. Well On Friday there was a small craft warning so we just went to the jetty off of Smith Point Lighthouse. We would do a drift and wait for rises in the bottom and cast a clouser and Bam!!. We caught are limit that day Fish were around 20''. Saturday went out to the N.N reef and caught at least 20 to 30 stripers around 18 to 22''. Had a perfect tide. then we went chasing the birds. as we were riding around I saw a bunch of birds working and when we got to the birds there must of been a 1/4 mile stretch of fish busting bait. So I put a black and red clouser on with a 400 grain sink tip counted to 5 and stripped and darn if i didn't catch on that went 32'' Gave me a hell of work out. Also caught a bunch off small ones around 16 to 18''. If your familiar with the area this all happened around bouy # 62. Was alot of fun. Just to add a little more fun while comming back home thru the jetty there were birds working in the jetty we stopped and caught a few more small ones. Was just a good trip
  14. I agree with streamside the eraser is the best way. But you can use bleach the fibers just fall off but makes the stem very brittle. Once you have the fibers all off with bleach wash with clean water then put them in hair conditioner and when your ready to use them just rinse them off with water. If your tying alot of flies at one time just get a bowl of water and let them soak in water and use them when needed.
  15. great looking fly might have to tie some up and take to the Chesapeake Bay. Rockfish would love them
