  1. No but the way building is going in the area, I'm sure there's something for a skilled craftsman. Construction of condos and new homes is unbelieveable!! I'd check Springfield, Nixa, Ozark and the surrounding areas.
  2. Thanks Smalliehunter. I posted a link here - http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showforum=12 Taney is fishing the best I've ever seen it. This fall brown run has been incredible with numerous huge browns caught (and almost all released). The browns aren't done and the rainbows have already started spawning. There are some big rainbows and lots of them. A 14 pound rainbow was caught a few weeks ago. A new state record brown was caught a month ago, a bit bigger than the brown caught in July. I just got back from the San Juan last week and wonder why I even went out- I guess for the scenery. Enjoy!
  3. Wanted to let you all know about a contest I've started on OzarkAngler's forum... win a Oasis fly tying bench retail at $349 (it's sat in our shop for 2 years so instead of putting it on sale I'll give it away). Details - http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/ By the way... I purchased the forum from Invision because I was so impress with this site. Great information and looks great. Thanks- Phil
  4. Jim & Tom Johnson are good friends... look them up if you need a guide. I've fished up there for the last 20 years. Best all round patterns are green caddis and PM Blond- both you'll find in area shops. Conditions dictate tippet size- 6 lb maxima is what I use the most. Use long leaders if water is clear and/or low. Don't be shy to ask someone who knows what they're doing. For the most part, people are helpful up there. Take a camera!! The foliage should be breath-taking!
