Chia 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2016 So, I never trout fish anymore. I fish warm water rivers and creeks for bass and what not. It is too far to drive for trout fishing for one day and I hate tippet. I use 4lb test and streamers 99% of the time. That being said, I am going trout fishing in Sept. What is a good folio pet that will not curl up on me? Thanks
Piker20 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2016 Really depends on the size trout you're targeting and are you using dries or wets? If wet fishing then flurocarbon will sink quicker and gives higher breaking strain to dia. It lacks the stretch of mono though and in my opinion is over rated. I use maxima for my wets. Anything from 8lb to 3lb. For dries I am a big fan of stroft line.
Chia 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2016 I am getting a dry fly leader and using my nymphing leader. Both are furreled and 6 wt.
