  2. I second the Renzetti Traveler for your price range. I have a Danvise as well, they are good, but the jaws did deform after about 1000 flies. My Traveler is going on a year old and there has not been a single complaint as of yet.
  3. I love the peg boards I put up. Desk pushed into the corner with two walls of peg board beside and infront. To the opposite side a couple drawers for larger items/loose items. Its a bit more work to pack things up to travel, but I like everything out in the open where I can see (and remember) what I have.
  4. This one looks like some fun, thought I might join in and throw one out there. Spear Lake Special Other than the obvious, fly has an ice peacock dubbed body, polar bear overwing, griz hackle. Caught a lot of trout on this one.

  7. http://fly-con.blogspot.com/2010/09/anti-lock-damsel.html This little guy has been working wonders for me on the stillwater trout this fall. Take a look, full step by step. I added it too my blog then posted the link, if this is a problem and it gets pulled, I will put it in the database. Enjoy

  11. I made this vid shortly after I learned to tie this fly. Not shown in the vid, you need to make extra wraps around the eyes and near the hook eye to build bulk and make the fly 'push' water. I get my dubbing right from the originator of the fly, and as was posted, its cut right from the hide and is very long dubbing. Its a very productive fly, and quick to tie.
  12. Got a good chuckle from the name. That buggy fur ball looks like it would take a fish or two, nice!
  13. That's a sharp looking fly. Well tied
  14. Congrats DrRock. Many beautiful flies under your name in that list. Congrats to all smalliestalker and rockworm as well. Great flies!
  15. http://www.flytyingforum.com/pattern9134.html Throw some heavier eyes on this for bass. They will eat it up for sure.
  16. Scuds, backswimmers, damsels, and dragons are always good to try in a lake. They are always an available food source. Team them up with an intermediate sinking line and your good to go. Good luck
  17. Great video. Will be giving that a try for some pike this spring. Thanks for posting.
  18. I like the wooden box idea. Have some kicking around, plan to give that a try. Thanks!
  19. #10 4x. Always had better luck with smaller sizes, even for bigger fish.
