I found that the very long butt section made it land in the water softly. It loogs long but some of the guide down there like to longer leaders. The long butt also let the leader turn over for me. I cound thru it over 85' and have the leader be a stright line. IF you think it is to long take 6" off and try it. It may still be fine. I have used this in Belize 4 foot of 30 pound 3 feet of 20 pound 2 feet of 15 pound and 3 feet of 12 pound for bonefish. I tried four of five leaders in Belize but this one workd the best. I am working on one for my redfish in NC. Hope this work.

I use this line in 10WT SWTB10 with a Mono Tip in in Belize and found it casted well. I am going to use in for the rock wall in NC for Reds after i got back. So far I like the line and was happy to see what it dose her.

I am just 5 min's from wrightsville beach. There is blues and drum in around the beach right now. We are using popers, surf candy, shrimp and crab fly right now. I hope this helps.

Like the crabs. have not try it fish the crab with no wt. Most of my fishing is in the back of the creeks on a incoming tide and try to keep it just along the reeds for reds and trout in NC.

Thank ypu for the help. I have time to make the fly's so the added time is no problems. Have just stater fly fishing in salt in NC and have two guides in tye for at this time, but her we do not use much weed guards for the red Fish. So the bone fish will be a good time.

I am going to El Pescador, Belize in May 2012. I was getting ready to start tying to go and the info I have said thet make sure the bonefish flys have weed guards. Should the weed guards go on all the weightes that i plan to tie to fish with. Looking to start with Crazy Charlie and Gotchas in sizes 6-8.

THe hook size is a number 1 gaimakatsu SL11-3h. It can be tyed on a 2 but will need a smaller rattle used. This is the best size to fish on reds in NC.

I an lookung for any one that has used one of the Magic Tails or Kreelex Baitfish Tails. I have seen flys that were tied with the tails but I would to know that it dose in the water. I would like to try but have not found any one that has used it.

I have tryed the loops and it wook as well to hold the rattles on. I have not had on come off twith Zap-a-gap so far and in salt water the is more thing to cut the fly up.

I have lots of flys with rattles in them for salt water. I use Zap-a-gap on the rattle to hold it on after i tie to the hook. let it dry then put the fly on the hook.

I am looking for any one that has used magic taic in tying. I was looking in cabela's and found them as a new product in the catalog. I was thinking it would work for Sm Bass.

I got my copy and have found hatches to be better the Fly tier. With a good mix from all. I was inpressed with it and have just got a lot more to read and nay have to go back to read some over to get all the infomation out of it

book look good but the book i have got the most out of is The Fly Tier's Benchside Refernce. I use it all the time on the flt tieing desk.

I have tied this sme thing with a tail for crappies. I think the the tail is not need, it is the colors that is. Look good and I hope it works.

Hi i tie flys and jigs but have a the most fun with jigs. I got a 26.6" tout on a John Tertuliani red eye crayfish. He has a book that is very good.
