  1. The flies were mailed today. I put a few extra bugs in the box for you.

Floyd got your flies today. Man those gills better watch out!!! I dont think you'll be able to keep the gills off of your line with this one. They'll be throwing up the white flag of surrender once you tie this guy on. And thanks for the extras! Your to kind.

  2. I agree with Smallie 100%. And belive me it's what I'm tying on right now. It was good as a beginner vise. But it's just sucks.

    1. On mine the rotary feature is shot to s***

    2. the lower knob came out of the holder completly.

    3. Not very sturdy.

But luckly the people I bought it from were very understanding about it and sent me a new head free of charge. And made sure it worked. And then again the rotarty feature was not smooth at all.

    That's why I'm upgrading.

  3. Okay everyone thanks for the help. I figured it all out now. I just got done cleaning the room. Painting it on Saturday and hopefully doing the desk setup on Sunday or next weekend.

But im gonna organize it by getting.

2 of the larger containers, one for naturals and one for synthetics.

1 Small one for threads, 1 small for hooks, and 1 small for packs of dubbing and packs of rubber legs, and chenille.

I'll try to post pictures when i get it all set up.

  4. Hey everyone,

I'm cleaning up my room, and painting it along with my father, and the deal was after i cleaned it and then we painted it. I would be able to set it up what ever way i wanted. The only problem is putting all the materials together. And then labeling them. I'm gonna buy a bunch of those white cart things with the three drawers, and then smaller ones for my thread. And smaller things like that

But with the bigger ones i dont know how to label them... Should i keep one drawer or one cart for natural hairs. And then have another cart for synthetics. I dont know how many of the bigs ones i should get and how many smaller ones i should get. If any one can help me out organize my stuff would be a great help. Maybe some ideas on how you organize your stuff.

Oh yeah the desk is gonna be left over counter top. In the shape of a "L" right in the corner of my room, if that helps out at all.

  5. Hey NJ All Day. Were you fishing in a lake, pond, or stream? Also, were the fish you caught any size? When I was growing up, if they were small, we would say that all we caught was "a pair of eyes!" I hope yours were larger than that!

    Take care

    BB

This is the water that i fish. Its a pond above with some killer bass, blue gill, carp, and crappie. Then a damn, and then runs about a 5 mile stretch, bellow the damn there are smaller bass, the carp are huge and the crappie and gill's are big. I was catching huge fish and smaller fish.

Here in New Jersey we had some pretty bad winds all day today. Gust up to 40 M.P.H. And there is no coverage below the damn and above the damn so i was getting the brute of it. But i manage to catch a 10" 'gill above the damn, and below the damn i managed about 10 gills ranging from 6-9" and 3 crappie all over 10", and one bass that was 18 inches. I had one major carp probably 9 plus pounds come to the fly about to eat it and then the wind blew and scared him away!!!! I was so angry!!! But i got sick of the wind and decided to go down the river to a place that holds some nice fish and is covered by trees so i could get away from the wind. And caught about 20 fish all from about 2"- 9". It was a great day out. And Your nymph was the first fly i put on and was the only fly i put on.

  6. Hey BB are you the one that tied the squirrel nymph with the bead head and rubber legs?

If so i love that pattern i took it out today and caught 30+ fish on it and it still is fishable. I was just wondering if you could tell me the materials list and somewhat how to tie it...

  7. Okay everyone we got our last person today :yahoo: :yahoo:

Avril will be joining us in this swap.

So everyone tie up 14 flies. if you want one back tie 15.

Shouldn't we be tying 15 or 16 if you want one back since there are 15 tiers + yourself?

yea I competley forgot that. thnx

  8. If you wanna try to find some. Check your local TU Chapter. Every year the Central Jersey Trout Unlimited has a event at Efingers ( a sport shop by me). This year they also tied at Michaels (craft store). And they tied at the local library for all the young kids. Also since this was when I first started and they gave me all of the flies they tied up. So just go to the meeting or signed up fir the email list. And I'm sure you'll find something.
