  1. The fly tying bench - flies from the vice thread or the coldwater thread would work.
  2. You put your posts in the weirdest places. That fly would work well up here.
  3. Just don't hold a scent of a women nymph swap. :crying:
  4. Too scared now to open the link at work.
  5. 1) I'm always moving the vice around even if it's just a 1/2 inch to the right. When I used a c-clamp I couldn't adjust the vices position as easy. 2) Plus I don't always tie in the same spot and most of my tables in the house can't be used with the c-clamp.
  6. I should give the guy my cell number in case some atlantics happen to have the same fate as that coaster.
  7. I've seen them in magazines and always wondered about the quality because the price is fantastic. Glad you have a new toy for your creations. I hope you can still tie those algae flies. :hyst:
  8. Sorry it's not a bead just some light chenil under the foam.
  9. Since I started tying I look at everything different. Your normal don't worry. :lol2:
  10. All the information you need is here. http://www.flytyingforum.com/contest/
  11. :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: Stippled Popper: I'll check it out, Thanks. dafunk5446: I'm near Toronto.
  12. It can be fun but the biggest thing is that it gets you out of the house before the wife can put you to work. Plus I just found some winter steelheading locations aswell so I might do a bit of both.
  13. Folded it's 12 feet long 2 feet high and 4 inches thick. unfolded it's around 10.5 feet long 5 feet wide and 2 feet deep. It weighs in at just under 70lbs fully assembled. Two guys can easily haul it through the woods.
  14. Just search the beginners board for the answer, it comes up once a week. I'll sum it up for you in 1 word. DON'T
  15. Sir you have some mad skills. Every fly you've ever posted here has been a work of art. :clapping:
  16. WOW, out here we would call that God's country. Very nice...
  17. I have an older 12 foot Canadian version of the porta-bote called the pack-boat, they don't make them anymore but they are the same design as the older porta-botes. I wouldn't trade this boat for anything! it's fantastic. I can float in 4 inches of water, use it on the small still waters, on the big waters and the rivers. I can get up to 6 MPH on the gps with just a 2 hp engine. It's stable (really you can stand at the edge of the boat and it won't tip), it won't leak, you can bounce it off of rocks and stumps with no worries. When your done it folds and hangs on the garage wall and it's no larger than a surf board. Porta-bate gets my vote. Just ignore all the spinning gear and yes those are ice fishing rods. There fun for catching crappies.
  18. Great tie! :headbang: I know a great place where the smallies will hit that.
  19. I put one of your flies in my ice gear aswell, the rabbit has great movement under the water. If I get one through the ice this year with your fly I'll post a pic of it.
  20. That's a relief I was starting to worry about you.
  21. We get big ones like that ice fishing. Man do they taste good.
  22. I'd drive to Nova Scotia to make you log in again, it's only 2 days away.
