  2. Wish I could help you... I'm in Michigan asking the same question to pretty much... I know of where some are here, but with out a boat I don't know where to go...If you come to SE Michigan I could give you some places to try...
  3. I'm going up to the Kalkaska area of Michigan's Lower Peninsula Friday after work, roughly a 4.5 hour drive... Hoping to catch some brown trout and some steelhead. Plan on using some new tube flies and streamers I just tied up last night. Going to try the Pere Marquette and Manistee Rivers... This is my first time ever going for trout or steelhead, or even really going anywhere to fly fishing other than the pond out front. I'm really excited!!!!!
  4. whos goin? Where at? What "new" fly is gonna get the big one? What you going for? Who's got the longest drive ahead of them? Maybe after the weekend we can start posting up our big catches!!!
  5. If you have one of those gps's for your car, there is a feature on that you can use for geocashing... that's what I do.

  7. yeah,i hear ya... spring semester starts in 2 weeks for me... 1 class, 3 nights a week, 3.5 hours each night... can you say fun?

  12. Here is my first attempt at a foam frog...got the pattern from a different site I go on... With a little practice it should come out nice. Do you guys have a color preference? I have many colors to choose from... These were just the top three layers from the foam pile...(Belly is dark green, can't see it from these pics)

  15. Well, I should have my first proto type finished tonight after I get home from school... then takin it to the pond (although it's to cold for them bass to bite) to see how it looks on the water. Will post pictures of it when finished for comments or ideas.
  16. Yeah, I've been thinkin about doin a block head popper recently but just been so busy with all the other swaps haven't really sat down to do it yet...I see these flies catching a lot of bass in my future though :yahoo:
  17. I can do a dozen stone flies if you want to fill the last spot.... Can have them in the mail early next week.
  18. I loved them all Mowest. I like bass poppers for some reason... I like tossin the big flies in the water and seeing the big bass come up after it...can't wait til it is warm enough here to use them! The weather has been so crazy around here I was almost tempted to get my ice shanty back out :hyst:

  22. Yup, Been using a squirrel I got before the season closed for dubbing material, and plan on using the tail for possibly some muddler minnows...
