  2. Good to know, I should be heading to Cabelas in a day or two to pick up my new vise, I ordered it last week...I will take a looksy at what they have for popper kits and go from there. I'll post some pics after tying a batch up! What size is recommended for bluegill or bass?

  4. Sorry wasn't trying to sound like an ass or pop your bubble, but if you request a certain swap it usually will happen it just may take a day or two for someone to decide to host. I would but I am trying to finish up a swap I have running at the moment. Not a problem, already found my way into one my first day to the site, and got an invite for an upcoming one!
  5. Thanks for all the input! Just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong with out anyone telling me. Think I'm gonna try using the larger manilla envelopes!
  6. I just bought craft fur today in attempts of a wiggler bait fish pattern I saw on a different sight...It looked awesome. He used all white craft fur and then colored it to look like a perch, and I must say, it definitely looked like a perch...I tied one up earlier, and coloring is the hardest part I think...Good job on yours, takes a little patience and skill.
  7. i would be targeting bluegill and bass...I may start out with a kit and see how I like it and go from there...I don't have any fly shops around me...do Cabelas carry stuff I could get? I'm close to one of them...
  8. Oh Geeze... didn't see that you already had that one. I will change mine, not a problem.
  9. not sure which kind, never knew much about them...just that they look cool lol. I'll defiantly do my research a little more with this info. thanks!
  10. How do you mail your flies when in a swap? Up til now I just have used an envelope, but thinking theres gotta be a better way...just don't wanna spend too much. Thinking about an altoids tin....how would I mail that though? Wouldn't it be too big for a regular letter envelope?
  11. Can anyone help me out...never tied poppers but would like to try some for bass or gills this year... how do I go about this.
  12. just bought that one, pedestal...waiting for it to come in!
  13. Welcome to the Swap. The due date is Saturday April 9th better known as Opening Day for New Jersey. Thanks! I'll be tying an ant pattern! ( not foam )
  14. New to the site and itching to join a swap. I'm in. When do you need the flies by?
  15. Read the first post regarding rules thinking those were "the rules"....guess I wont be hosting this one then.
  16. Guess I'll be the first to say, I'll be tying up a little foam/deer hair grass hopper
  17. Eh what the heck, I'll host. How does a 15 person swap sound for bluegill fly patterns. Deadline of March 31 sound okay?
  18. New to this site and looks like swaps fill up fast around here which is nice to see... other sites I've been on struggles to get 6 people in a swap... I would be interested in a bluegill fly swap though if anyone is hosting
