  1. That's ok Tony, I deserved it. Got 2 sets in from IMX in today's mail, nice looking ties. Blane
  2. Try looking up Mcfluffchucker on youtube, he does a lot of pike flies, and is on here on occasion.
  3. All flies that have been sent in are now on their way to new homes, Jan, Feb and March's flies have flown the coop!!!!

  5. All March flies are in and Jan, Feb, and March flies are being sorted and ready for shipment on Tuesday, Monday is the annual auction for my flyfishing club and I am on the auction committee and have to be there to help set it all up.
  6. J-Kno your flies made it here, nice ties.
  7. My neighborhood had a similar problem right before Xmas, we got a little revenge on the thieves in that we packed a couple of boxes full of dog crap and left them on the porch for the thieves to take and they did. Not sure if it solved the problem, but no more packages disappeared off porches since so I think it solved the issue.
  8. Never knew there were so many brainiacs into fly tying Money made me give up my 4.0 gpa and get a job instead of finishing my degree in Marine Mammal Biology.
  9. Sorry about being so slow to respond, but I got in 5 sets of flies this week, netabrookie, BBBruce, BB, Border Collies, and Crackleback, got your flies here. These are some great looking flies. I will be sorting and sending January's flies today if I can make it to the post office on time, February's flies I hope to get out soon, still waiting or Riff, his last batch disappeared somewhere between him and my mailbox so he is sending out a new batch. Blane
  10. I've been a rough framer, night club bartender and now for the last 16 years I am self employed as a residential window cleaner. I love making my own hours and I get to see some really nice homes, see how the other 1% live.
  11. Just an update for everyone, we are still waiting on Riff for February, and I am sending out January's and February's flies in one batch this week regardless of what happens. Sorry for not keeping everyone updated but I've been working way more than usual, which is good in one way but not so much in others. I have no reason for not at least letting everyone know what is going on except that I have been too busy to be able to spend much time doing much other than work for the past several weeks. Blane
  12. I must be absolutely stupid, because try as I might I can't seem to get a woven fly to look like it should. I've put hours into trying and haven't had one success as of yet. Youtube or not, I just don't get it, or can't get it. All I can say is, is that it has totally defeated me. We are waiting on flies from Riff and myself. Riff will have his in the mail, and I need to surrender to some other type of pattern because I simply can't tie one of these to save my life. I've watched many different videos and still can't get it. Sorry guys I give up and will tie something else because I can't spend any more time on this, I'm just too busy to be able to do it. Blane
  13. Riff said he sent off Jan, Feb, and March's flies and I haven't received them yet, this was only earlier this week that I learned that. I will contact him today to find out what he wants to do then send off the flies. There is no need to worry, I haven't disappeared, just so fricken busy that I haven't had time to get on here to explain any of what's going on, and for that I appologize. Blane
  14. I was told it was 10% and up, depending on the day and how the guide was. That's a pretty good rate, my last trip cost $450 for a whole day on the river, but it depends on the demand of the area I would guess. Blane
  15. I was told it was 10% and up, depending on the day and how the guide was.
  16. Ok guys, I'm not sure what to do here. Riff said he would have his flies out on Feb 27, I still don't have his flies from January. He says he is just slammed with work and school and I don't know what to do. So I'm asking you what you want me to do, should I send out January and February's flies or should I wait to hear from him again. Let me know your thoughts on the situation. Thanks Blane
  17. It is open to any fly, as long as they are done per monthly directions listed above.
  18. I need a replacement for the 2014 swap club, this is a year long commitment so take that into consideration before you volunteer please. Only taking swappers with over 100 posts for this slot. Thanks Blane
  19. I am still waiting on Riff's sets and I think we lost our 12th swapper, so I will be seeking another swapper to fill us up for March. Blane
  20. Don't feel alone Mikechell, I don't care much for kids at all either, especially the ones that are around today. I have never encountered a more disrespectful, greedy, self entitled bunch of brats than are running around these days. My wife has a cousin who's kids used to come around here on a somewhat regular basis until I corrected one of them and it got back to their mother, at which point they disappeared for quite a while, which didn't hurt my feelings one bit. I hated the constant "I want my mommy" screaming fits they used to throw if they didn't get their way. So it was good riddence.
  21. Yes, I got them Bob, I see now that I forgot to post it, sorry my bad. Nice flies by the way. Blane
  22. I am still waiting on a package from one of the swappers, then I will mail them out with February's flies, so you won't need to send me a sase for March Tony. Blane
  23. Yesterdays mail brought 4 sets of flies from Xrayts, crackleback, BB, and J-Kno. Great ties folks. One more note to all swappers: A self addressed stamped envelope is REQUIRED. If one is not provided then I will not send out your flies. It isn't ok to send me insufficient funds to pay for postage and no return envelope. So if you want your swap flies sent back to you send them in a crush-proof container and enclose a self addressed stamped envelope for me to return them in, or I will hold them until I receive the sase from you. Sorry for the rant, but it is needed for those who choose not to follow the directions as put out by FTF. Blane
  24. Are we ready for the Duck Flies? It's got to have duck in it so let's see what everyone's got. SM-mybadhabit 1. Riffleriversteelheadslayer - Received 2. BBBruce - Received 3. Crackleback - Received 4. Netabrookie - Received 5. fishingbobnelson - Harris Special - Received 6. xrayts - Received 7. shoebop - Received 8. border collies - Quill Gordon - Received 9. J-KNO - Royal Coachman - Received 10. Jolly Red - Grizzly Kings - Received 11. IMX - Received 12. Breambuster - Received
