Ordering some materials to get started in fly tying. I'll be tying mainly trout flies. Any suggestions for types of thread to start with?

I am looking at the Made 2 Fly work station and the Made 2 Fly portable desk. Anybody have any experience with these and some advice? Thanks.

Several years ago I tried fly tying. I sold my equipment and now I want to try it again. I need suggestions for a good desk, vice, books, etc. Also a good shop that could help me with getting the items. Thanks.
