I am going to try a classic, Royal Coachman Wet... I haven't tied a feather wing in a bunch of years (likely 14) but going to give it a go.

Post Office receipt says expected delivery date is Friday the 28th... Yay! Now to get crak-o-lakin on something with duck....

Welcome! Most of my experience in CA is with Central Eastern Sierras (Hot Creek, June Lake Loop etc.) and SoCal. Only trout on the fly.

I knew some guys out of Enid, OK, they were great and treated us at the resort golf course very kindly...

I was going to go, but the weather has me on call for work. My eight year old daughter was really looking forward to it, she loves going. Guess I'll have to settle for the Outdoor Sports show in a couple weeks.

It was a good show. Took my 4 y/o daughter with me on Sunday. I didn't get to spend a lot of time in one area, but it was good none the less. She tied her first fly and met a 12 y/o girl tying there as well. Great casting demo by Mr Borger and another on small flies by Ed Engle... Size 32... I can't even see the eye to tie it on 8x tippet... I don't even have 7x tippet....

Ya, I'm a NoCo FoCo MoFo.... Northern Colorado, Fort Collins guy...

I worked over in Atlantic Canada, St John, NB and drove over to PEI over a weekend... Out to Miramichi... etc. Beautiful country out there.... I've seen a fair amount of the eastern side of Canada. Hell, I've even been "Screeched in" at Trapper Johns up in St. Johns, NF. lol

NoCo is Northern Colorado. Second set left today via priority mail with tracking and insurance... eta is Monday.

I sent mine a week ago today. They went out the same day as the Peacock swap and Schmang has had those since Thursday. Should I go ahead and send another set? I don't mind and really do not want to be the one holding this up.

You can tell your friends it is (at least for now) the world's hottest. He got this after the swap started. Enjoy it, if you can. I like him and his wife as friends, but I know enough not to eat that stuff. It is nice to see a friend make a dream a reality though, so I do buy a bunch of his sauce to give to crazy friends.

I had to work late last night but I did make the time to open up the package from J-Kno and he set a dynamic soft hackle pattern the Lite Brite Soft Hackle. I am a huge SH fan and I think after getting his offering everyone else will be too. He incorporated lots of triggers into the fly- flash, peacock shimmer, segmentation, and soft hackle fibers - that I think will be winner - winner chicken dinner in the water.
