  2. First try using some catgut on this little caddis pupaeaeaeaeaeaeae Interesting material. I like it.
  3. Made this crumby tutorial a few weeks ago for some dudes on instagram asking questions. The body is VIrtual Nymph skin. Rubber bands will rot off the fly after you use them once. Highly recommend using VN skin.
  4. Its sort of a bad miscolored batch of rabbit....its labeled as dark olive but it definately has a charcoal look to it haha. Ive done charcoal and orange before too....but again....i diddnt invent colors.
  5. go for it. I did not invent dark green and orange. I only invented the wooly bugger.
  6. dick slingin contest commence. You forgot about the fact that FFF has all original content. Your page has Clousers and Wooly Buggers. Of course you are going to have a lot of views. People new to tying search those two topics more then "belly scratcher minnow". That is the original point of my post, that you seem to have glazed over with your math above.
  7. my videos are the best on youtube. That is a FACT.
  8. Id love a beer....but im at work....they warned me about that once before....
  9. Dont mind me. Im just grumpy today.
  10. Just a thought here.....possibly a rant.... How many tutorials does the world need of basic fly patterns? It seems as if every time I log-in to see what is new on youtube...and see what youtube "recommends" I watch....its the same thing over and over again. There are at least 3 dozen wooly bugger and clouser minnow tutorials online as I type this. Is it just me, or does this seem kind of ridiculous and redundant? Its quite obvious some folks are doing it to get attention.....at least get creative and tie your own pattern...or something that isnt EVERYWHERE on the internet already. Rant over. Hate me.
  11. Blue Lives Matter Lunch Lady with a haircut
  12. I fish everything. Im not good enough or popular enough for show flies haha.
  13. yea you can weight the heads. ive used tungsten beads on the hook tied at the mid-point of the bent portion of the hook and tied the deer hair around/on top of it. Its difficult to shape correctly with beads, so you can use lead wire...but it needs to be alot to really effect anything. Its hard enough shaping the head correctly to swim properly without weight....when you add weight to the head it just adds that much more difficulty to the pattern. IMO its not worth the frustration. Just use a sinking line as the original pattern was designed for and save yourself a few hours of frustration. They also sell plastic fly lips you can tie directly on a hook shank for a crank bait style action if that is what you are after.....
  14. dryer lint for dubbing. different color blankets gives your lint different colors. Its kind of cool. Also, I have used my dog's hair to tie ants before.
