jschmidt63 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2005 This cooler weather is really paying off. Added pic. Caught loads of nice bass yesterday fishing the evening on a local reservoir. Temp was 80 low humidity No bugs No other boats on the water Puffy clouds but very light breeze Must have caught 2 dozen large mouth, not real big but really fun. Groups of young ones roaming in packs, bass along the banks, bass in all places. Caught a bunch on my 3wt and my 8wt. They didnt even want to hit subsurface, all on deer hair poppers. Gotta love it! SullyTM 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2005 John...Good report. Looks like you were using a deerhair popper? Any other flies? Thanks. Thom

jschmidt63 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2005 SullyTM Really only tried the deerhair poppres and since I was doing so well just stayed with them, tried different colors at least. Jeff, I was fishin Walnut Creek Res. Albemarle County Park site, $4.00 to get in with a boat ramp, small but nice. Not far off I-64 down the Road a little off the Route 20 Monticello exit
