Guest Report post Posted July 3, 2006 2005 Fly Tyer of the Year Pattern Guide FlyTyingForum.com hosts an annual fly tying competition and the contest tyers from around the world. 2005 showcased over two-hundred flies from eight countries and they competed in thirty different categories. The 2005 event also marked the first year that a material list must accompany each fly submitted into the contest and we are excited to unveil these patterns to the readers of Hatches Magazine. Starting this month we will be showcasing a collection of these flies each month and will continue until every pattern is revealed. We consider this to be one of the greatest collections of fly patterns that can be found anywhere.
