sniksoh 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2006 any suggestions to make this fly look better and catch more fish? was the peacock herl representing the lateral line, a good idea?
MIKE*A 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2006 Very Nice! I used a similiar pattern two weekends ago at a lake I was camping at and did quite well.....The one I used had a darker green up top w/a very thin clump of black bucktail in the middle(it looks like you used peacock herl? good idea!) w/gold tinsel and then yellow for the belly
fly time 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2006 Sniksoh, I fish a pattern just like that, only black on top and white on the bottom, and it kills the LMB!!!! that one should work well, in early spring, and late summer!!! I like it, ya may wanna use some tinsle or some similar instead of the hurl. Nice tie. Dustin.
