Step by step bunny leach

when i go for big fish, i use this fly. It has caught pike, trout, and even peacock bass(i wish i caught a peacock bass :( ) when people ask me what it is for, i say... well big fish, and they are like what kind of big ones, and i am like, the really big ones :headbang: . I didn't create this pattern, and i don't know who did. all i can say is thank you for inventing this fly :D .Anyway. here it is:

2. tie on the dumbells

3. tie on some flash

4. tie on a white bunny strip on top

5. tie on olive bunny strip

6. tie on cross cut bunny

7. make an olive bunny dubbing, wrap it around the dumbell eyes, make a nice head, and tie off.

Also, this fly has nice results in black and yellow. For salmon a good combo is pink&pink, Pink&black, and pink& white.

J.Z,

 

I know that fishing spot in the picture well!! I have fished that same spot for years out behind the hotel below the Rattlesnake in plain view of the 'M'.

 

I will be back in September for some more fun. Thanks for the post and pics, I have several just like it!

That is where i caught my first brown trout. i love that spot.
