tightlines 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 What weight rod and length is good for steelhead? Where I live, Im old there is great steelhead fishing within 40 mins. Im also told that where the fishing is, the fishing season is longer for steelhead (someone tried to tell me that anything south of the 401 is all season, but I would want to investigate that). Thanks for advice
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Depends on where your fishing since the steelhead size will vary a bit from area to area but on the average a 7/8wt 9'-9'6" or 10' rod that has a moderatly fast action will be a setup that will work for steelhead in 90% of the places they are found.
