Ashby 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2008 This is a black spider, no idea what it is called. I took the picture with my fujifilm F30 because my Canon was charging. This thing is wicked looking. The green fangs really stand out on him. He left to get some food after I tormented him with the camera for about 5 minutes. If anyone knows what kind of spider it is, please let me know. Ashby 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 Yeah, it's a little intimidating. When I saw it I was kicking myself for not being able to use my Canon, but the picture still turned out ok. Dave, thanks for the link, that is the little guy. The picture in the link was taken in Sacramento, about 45 miles from here. So it all fits, thanks guys. Fred H. 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 great picture Ashby, I love jumping spiders. We have a similar species here. But they are not as beautifuly colored as this fellow. I once saw one jump and tackle a house fly, it was awesome.
