Welcome aboard. :D

Nice flies they'll work a treat, now keep em coming so you can shake that Baitfisherman title ;)

I tie a very similar nymph for sight fishing NZ's south island between 16-20# with a matt black tungsten bead.

Welcome Dubb, You barely missed an Itsy Bitsy swap contest. I am a CO Hatchling that migrated one state West. Have some fun, check out the patterns DB and the upcoming Tyer of the year contest. All fun.

Cheers, Futzer.

Good to be here Futzer. The Itsy Bitsy swap would have been right up my alley. I mainly tie size 18-22 nymphs these days (trout are gettin picky in my neck of the woods).

There is an astounding amount of talent and information here. I've learned quite a bit already. Thank you for the warm

welcome.

Yep, Same in Utah, lots of fisher pressure, keeps us going smaller and smaller. Take a look at the FTOTY contest this year, great fun. Lots of super class tyers.

Keep posting. Cheers, Jeff.

by th way Futzer, I've known Andrew sence Arapahoe anglers, And I use to work with Trap & barry at Copper mnt. Cutthroat is the only pro shop in the county, but there is still plenty other grass root outfitters in the county --- Ah Jackson's shop has more tying matierals, Trap has more rods & I shop with both of them, to say one is better than the rest is like claiming one fly is better than the other, when ever you plan to come up the hill , let me know

Like the flies, but one ???. Why the long tails on a nymph, they always have short tails. The duns have a long tail, and the spinner longer yet..I have found short tails on my nymphs work better..

When I lived in Denver, I used to come to summit and fish the blue all the time...at least once a week. It's been a while though. I love the river. We've been trying to put together a little Utah trip together for a while. Probably will happen next spring I assume. I'm not familiar with flytyer5150 but would be happy to meet up. Especially with the private pan water :)

We should get together and snag some.
