HereToLearn 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 Holy smokes. Nice job. Smallest I've tried so far is a 22. Looking good!
Arkansas Mike 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 Why did you post a pic of the tip of your vise? Oh...wait...there's a fly there. Didn't see it. That is tiny. Great job. SaltyDog and Futzer will be chiming in! Mike
Fly Tyer Guy 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 You're crazy! Great job!
David Legg 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 Nice job! :headbang: I'll bet you could dress a flea if you put your mind to it. You'd have to get it in the vise first, though. BTW... I like your tying instructions.
fly_fischa 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 Nice tie Cyprinid Carpio, didn't realise that carp would bother with such a flea sized morsel Looking at your other database submissions you've taken it to opposite extremes, well done
the saltydog 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 Great job on that little guy, believe it or not but the wings could be a bit shorter! The tail is perfect as is the body dimensions. Around here in later summer, that would certainly do the trick!

Classic tier 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2010 I bet if you breathed whilst tying one of those onto your leader, you'd breath it in without knowing. Great fly! :headbang:
Cyprinid Carpio 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 Great job on that little guy, believe it or not but the wings could be a bit shorter! The tail is perfect as is the body dimensions. Around here in later summer, that would certainly do the trick! You're right! Thing is, I think my scissors are too thick to take off the small amount needed
the saltydog 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 Time to buy smaller scissors, oh and a midge bobbin, perhaps a new vice that has more access around the hook, maybe some new micro materials, and a light.... be careful its a sickness and you might catch it! LOL
Voodoo 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 WOW, no unneeded wraps on that! great fly
stonefly1 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2010 Impressive! I don't even want to think about trying to fish that thing, you never see it if it is more than 2 ft away. LOL
wyotyer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Holy cow. They don't make magnifiers strong enough for me to try a fly that small. Maybe a microscope. I used to tie down to 24, but now 22 is the smallest I can tie. Over 50 eyesight sucks. I didn't know anyone made a vice that fit anything smaller than a 28. But seriously, great job.
