Not really sure what I've tied here, but I'd say they're something like a spey. I had just had an itch to tie up whatever they are....

 

Any insight?

Taylor - I don't know what you call them, but I think they are contagious, because I've got the itch to tye some myself. The bottom one is my favorite of the lot. They all look like they will be very effective steelhead flies. Great job!

Well they aren't spey flies, but they do resemble a cross of a spade fly and a soft hackle. They sure are nice regardless!!!

Thanks Frank, I didn't want to offend anyone by calling them speys, so I thought I'd ask first what you'd call them. I have seen some pictures of flies similar to these, and decided to tie a few up. Thanks again!
