Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2011 Can't say that I have. Seems kind of thick even if used as a single prong, the weedeater line I have if I'm not mistaken is .080". Heaviest weeguard I've used is .022" Hard Mason. Some folks use 50lb co-polymer regular mono but the hard mason is stiffer for the diameter than co-polymers making for a smaller tie in point when attaching to fly/hook. Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2011 I have seen people use it in the bottom of shooting baskets. They will make holes in the bottom of the basket, cut four inch or so long pieces of the weed eater mono, melt a little ball on one end of each piece, insert the mono spikes through the holes and glue in place for a spikey bottom to their basket. Supposed to keep the stripped in line from tangling in the bottom of the basket. Kirk
