Its the new year and a new club thanks to all the new faces we have this year and a big welcome back to all our returning members this year should be the best year so far I tried to make it more tier friendly so lets kick this year off with beadheaded flies

Here is a pic of the Zebra Midges:

 

I think it would be great if everyone posted a pic of their flies this year and posted the recipe for the fly. What does everyone else think?

 

 

Recipe:

Size 20 Scud hook

8/0 Black Thread body

Chartreuse wire

Smallest beadhead I could find in my supply

 

Pic is taken on macro mode with my new Pentax Optio WG-1 - I am loving this camera!

I like that idea and will post pictures and stuff of my flies tomorrow. I will also mail my December and January flies tomorrow.

hook: daiichi scud hook #14

Head: red glass bead

thread: UT black 140

Ribbing: UT red 210

Oh my! I feel bad now after seeing those flies yall tied. Mine is a boat anchor compared to yours. Well at least you be able to knock them out with mine if you can't catch them. I will post the pic in a few min. LOL

Well here it is:

Hook: Mustad-Viking Bronz Short Shank Ex. Fine Wire size 8 (Don't Laugh)

Tail: Marabou Olive

Body: Weighted .015 oval lead wire, 3 Peacock Herls Fluffed wraped in reverse bronz wire wrapped away from, and black hackle.

Head: Antique Brass Bead to fit.

Thread: 6/0 Flymaster Waxed

 

(Boat Anchor Rope sold sep. LOL)It might catch a fish or knock them out.
