Thread: Benecchi 12/0, tan

Abdomen: Flashabou strand, opal - wrapped flat over bare shank

Thorax and strands: CDC feather , natural

Wing and head: Mule deer

Great job Hans. I think I like it more than your original?

 

I notice the C&F bobbin. I really wish you might give Jay Smitt's bobbin a try. Once you have used it a while, you can't go back.

The original CDC&Elk has its track record going back to 1992. This new puppy has big boots to fill yet ;-)

 

On the bobbin holder - perhaps. I generally like the bobbin holder to be simple, and balanced. The tension setting I provide myself with finger and palm pressure. Jay's bobbin holder certainly serves a purpose, but I doubt it will be mine.
