Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2012 Beautiful fish in a beautiful setting, great video footage. The use of two cameras is awesome!! I'd like to know more about your head-cam set up. Nice job! Kirk
TheCream 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2012 Beautiful fish in a beautiful setting, great video footage. The use of two cameras is awesome!! I'd like to know more about your head-cam set up. Nice job! Kirk I'm using a GoPro Hero HD on the head strap, sort of like a headlamp-style strap, over my hat. I installed the BlurFix flat lens modification earlier this year. This gives a better underwater video clarity and also allows me to use screw-in photo filters. I already had the same size filters for a camera lens, so I have three filters I can use on it (polaraizing, warming, and UV). So far I am using the polarizing filter for on the water shooting to help cut the glare.
Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2012 Gotcha, checked out their site. Fifteen bucks for the headstrap - pretty damn reasonable, cheaper than many ball caps! Thanks, Kirk

Thanks, Kirk When I bought my GoPro, I got one of the package deals that came with the head strap and several mounts. I think it was the motorsports package, maybe? If you look at Amazon.com, you'll see several packages like that. They also make a chest strap, but I like the head strap idea better. It's looking where I'm looking. mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2014 I like the video. Pretty little stream. I don't think I could use a head mounted camera ... I am always looking around too much. Fishing as a reason to get out in "the wild" for me. I spend as much time viewing the surroundings as I do fishing. In flowing water like your stream, I can see me concentrating on where my fly is. On the much more still water I fish, I let the fly sit for longer periods, during which, my eyes ... wander.
