Piker20 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2013 The Black one is a Ballan Wrasse. There are also Cuckoo Wrasse in the same area. They are unbelievably strong and even a small one tests your rod as it tries to hit the kelp beds. They have big rubbery lips and teeth a little like our front teeth that they tear molluscs off the rocks with. They are not easy to catch on lures or flies but the chenille worms or crab imitations work. Mostly all the sea fish are edible but I only take big pollock and cod. And sea trout of course.
