coinman66 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2014 Needed a River Shiner pattern for my creek smallies. Wanted a fuller profile that pushes water. I keep reading about big flies for bigger smallies so hope this does the trick. I can always thin it out if needed. What's everyone think? I'm gonna chuck it on my 6wt and it should shed water really nice.
Troutbum11 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2014 Looks good! what's the material? maybe a synthetic blend? doesn't really look like strait EP fiber...
eastern fly 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2014 Will it slim down when wet? Are your bait fish of the type robust like that or the sleek minnow style? Kevin
coinman66 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2014 Some of the shiners are 4" to 10" long. And yes it will slim down in water.
