Recommended Posts

Hook: TMC 100BL #16

Thread: Sheer 14/0

Body: Hareline Hare’s Ear Brown/Dark Olive, Hareline Hare’s Ice Dub Rusty Orange

Wing: CDC & Deer in different colors

This is a favorite of mine: a simple, but very effective CDC&Deer. Slowly filling up my box, this time with smaller versions of this dryfly on a BL hook

I've only tied this type with the CDC palmered. I see you've tied yours in as a wing, have you tied in two pieces? One with tips back over shank and then second (or what you trimmed from first?)fibres pulled to the butt and tied in so it give you that curved bulbous CDC bit?
