SBPatt 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2017 Used teal as a nod to the original; couldn't get it to lay properly so may revisit that choice. hook - Mustad 79580 #6 thread - Danville 6/0 black tail - golden pheasant tippets rib - small wire silver abdomen - large tinsel silver body hackle - grizzly thorax - Arizona Simi Seal red wing - teal flank collar - hen black mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to bend prep gp, measure (gap width past bend, tie in tie in rib, move to 2/3 mark and tie in tinsel wrap tinsel to tail and back; tie off/trim tie in hackle; wrap to tail capture tip of hackle with rib, continue thru, helicopter end, cover with thread; trim hackle tip create dubbing loop wax loop, insert dubbing, spin wrap thorax, stroking fibers back with each turn; stop about 1 eye width back from eye tie in (folded) teal by tip, stroke fibers back while wrapping; tie off/trim tie in hen by tip wrap, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
