Onshore 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 I've always figured entomologists were similar to poets, and I couldn't find the poetry forum, so here's one for all you inland fly fishermen, now that Spring has sprung. And it probably fits here as well as elsewhere, as it's about insects... How to Get Hung UP and What to Do Once You Have Done It. Watch insect disappear in big slurp under rose hip bush. Cast expensive fly to that place. Miss. Hook rose hip bush. Gently jiggle rod tip. Make rose hip Blossoms tremble. Watch large panicked V of water under rose hip bush. Jerk rod in large walloping motions. Break tippet. Cross deep pool in waders to retrieve fly. Just as you feel hook against thumb, fall with fly in thumb. Fill waders. Gregg Keeler from the Epiphany At Goofy's Gas - And, now I'll paddle back to the Saltwater Journal but will leave my entomologist here, with you
