  1. Well, I think it will be a little while before ice off yet, up here in northern alberta. In fact I think the ice got a little thicker over night. It was -39 C in the river valley this morning here in Edmonton, with -50 windchills. Wonderful!! :crying: :crying: :crying: Justin
  2. Well, Everyone has my address now. Its looking like we may make the deadline okay........ hopefully. We'll see how well Canada Post does. We're just waiting on 4 sets to arrive. So, I don't think that is so bad. Thanks everyone. Justin
  3. I need an address too please. I have been stimulated. Justin
  4. Well, I finished my flies today. We're just waiting on flytyinfreak (talked to him by PM), ScottV, ninezeroseven, and Roll Q___Cast. I would suggest getting them in the mail by 5th or 6th of March to give them enough time to get here before the deadline. Thanks all. Justin
  5. I am in. With a Chan's Maroon Chironomid. Any Chironomid pattern developed by Brian Chan is going to work. And that is a fact. :headbang: :headbang: Justin
  6. I am in. With the Hoppulator. Here is what it looks like: http://www.flytyingforum.com/pattern7303.html Justin
  7. I got some excellent flies from Flies and Photos today. And what do you know, even the Canada Border Services Agency got to admire your flies.  Apparently your package was suspicious. But everything was there, that I could see. 12 great flies, one note, and a five. Justin

  12. Hey Will, Every time I try to go to the website on these links the "post comments" thingy is in the middle of the screen. When i try to go to any of the videos it is right smack dab in the middle of the video, so you can;t see anything. Justin
  13. Mine are done, and I should be able to get them in the mail tomorrow. I also did a little step-by-step for the pattern. http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?sho...t=0#entry349315 Thanks for hosting the swap Sherrib Justin
  14. I tied this fly for the hopper swap. I thought I would do a little step-by-step. Simple Foam Hopper Hook: Standard Dry Fly #8 Thread: Dark Brown 6/0 Body: Rainy's Float Foam, Gorilla Body Yellow, size 8 Legs: Brown Rubber Legs Wings: Brown Swiss Straw Strike Indicator: Orange Foam Justin
  15. That's a great looking hopper pastimetyer. Justin
  16. The flies finally made the trek to the great white north. These are some great flies everyone. Thanks everyone for letting me jump in. This one was great. Justin
  17. Yep, I figured that out after I tied the thing. So this one is going on the shelf, and I get to tie a whole new one. I guess that's the learning curve part of it. I tied it without really reading a whole lot about it. I guess I knew somewhere in the back of my head that I needed that, but the concept didn't really hold enough I guess. Atleast I didn't waste an expensive tube on it. Justin
  18. This is my first tube fly ever. I have wanted to try some out for awhile now, and finally decided to buy the tube tool. Anyhoo. It was quite fun. Its a little more challenging to spin deer hair on the much larger diameter of the tube. You can't really spin it, is more of a hold it in place and flare it. Then do the same thing all the way around. Anyways, I'm just rambling now so, I'm going to stop. Justin
  19. This is my first attempt at a foam adult damsel. I was just using what I had on hand. I think I would have prefered to maybe have blue dry fly dubbing over the thorax area, but alas, no blue dubbing. Justin
