What is loon knot?Is that like head cement or is a actual knot?

The reason for the hook on the front part,don't know if this is right,but is what I was told,is that trout will try to take a smaller fish by the head.I will have to try a loop instead of a knot to hold them together.

I'm a little bored this morning, so I want to try to make a fly that had a tail that is connected by a piece of leader material.I couldn't get my fingers to work so the knot that holds the tail is really bad.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve this or reasons not to do this.

Couple that I was workin on tonight.Did a few more but can't post them,I have a hard time getting my camera to focus on stuff that small.

Hope so get something cause I got skunked salmon fishing last October.Still had fun though,and learn alot form the guys on the river.

Been thinking about next September/October.Going to give these a try,don't know if they work but I can't do any worst then last season.

Those were good fights.I'm trying to find a spot thats going to have the pay per view on at the end of the month,should be a good one.

Just watching some of the ufc fight.I hard time focusing on tying if the tv isn't on.

Just a few flies that I've been tied last night while watching tv.

I almost think the tying is making me want to fish more,and with the weather were having here is not helping.It will be like spring for a couple of days just to tease you then drop to -10 to bring you back to reality.Spent a few years in Alberta but never got to go fishing,kind of regert that.Someday I'll be back for a vacation.

It's pretty nice river,wish my camera was about to take a pic of the 4 altantic salmon that were under the bridge I was standing on.
