  6. will, I honestly am a true pennsylvanian, see I can still spell it. A time or two, I have mentioned that I am an old man. My beautiful wife , and best friend of 51 years headed to california in late 1960 . At that time, I wasn't in to fly fishing. I truly, still miss the fall weather and colors, still avid steelers, pirates , pitt panthers and penguin fan. You can take the boy out of the country, etc. I lived on the allegheny river at schenley where it meets the kiski river, you wouldn't believe how badly polluted the rivers were at that time. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories. Our last trip back, we were able to capture the autumn weather and beauty. Have a good one Pat Carroll

  9. I was able to go thru the "mystery swap box", what a job you tyers have done. Great variety, all sizes and the tying talent is something else. What a group of tyers we have in this swap. I should have the box shipped out on Monday. The mailing sequence should be similar, the only difference, chris hubbard will follow his wife. I don't have brianbrown on the list, he pulls a disappearing act, and one condition for this swap, each tyer was to send their flies to me. So far, no flies from him. He did join in mid April, should have been ample time to send his flies. I really look forward to the second cycle, your energy has made this a fun time. Thanks for being part of this swap and who knows what you creative tyers have up your sleeves!!! Have a good one Pat Carroll
  10. The only time I dealt with Fly Tyers Dungeen was last years "Christmas Package",I couldn't believe the amount of fly tying material he provided. Wouldn't hesitate again , this Christmas. Pat Carroll

  13. This swap has turned into one fun time, and to think we will soon be in the next cycle!! Time to head out the door, head to a local winery and listen to my grandson strum up some great music on his geetar, he is something else. It will soon be heading back to California, and I am definitely itchin" to check out all of the goodies. Your interest and enthusiasm makes for fun times. The movement from tyer to tyer has been great. I certainly like the way we are spread out , all parts of the country, even though we only have 8 tyers. A few more tyers certainly wouldn't hurt. Have a great weekend Pat Carroll

  17. First fly was a wooly worm ,many , many years ago. Never heard of foam or wooly buggers at that time. Big fly supplier then was Herters. First fly tying book was Noll's fly patterns, it seems to me it cost $3.00!! Oh , the good ol' days. Have a good one Pat Carroll

  24. As I was receiving the flies from you tyers, I was surprised how small some of the flies were. You should be ashamed of yourselves, making this old , old man envy the the skill you tyers have shown. Thats the neat thing with this swap, anything goes and the "mystery box" definitely does have a variety. Thanks for the input. Have a good one Pat
