  1. Not to knock J.S. since i do buy A LOT of product form them, but i have to disagree with you. They say they are not suitable for extensions when the hackle really isnt suitable. IE necks, American hackle by whiting, and so on. A big thing i give J.S. a lot of respect for is they haven't jack the prices way up like other suppliers. And that to is them doing a huge part for us humble fly tyers. Mainehunt- :hyst: was it a double mellowdy you sang to it. :hyst: quack quack..qu.BOOM! :hyst: Johny, You sir, are a sick and twisted individual.............that's why I like you. Kev <><
  2. That duck in your avatar is just sleeping right????? :hyst: Exactly! Man, ........I sang him a little tune about love, honesty and devotion. He just drifted off................ Kev <><
  3. Your animal rights activist point of view is a pretty good idea. Although coming from fly tiers it would make us hypocrites. :coffee: Whoa!!!! I'm not an animal rights Wacko.......but if being a hypocrite would save the feathers for us......well, I'm OK with that. Kev <><
  4. We need to make sure that the girls and women who are putting these feathers in their hair REALIZE THAT THESE BIRDS ARE GETTING KILLED FOR THEIR FEATHERS. (I don't care that they're dying for the feathers, I hunt, fish, and trap. I just want the feathers for us, not them.) These same women will not wear fur because the animals are dying just for the fur. MAKE THEM REALIZE it's the same with these chickens and many of them will stop buying them. Kev <><
  5. Hi, I hope we don't get too much snow tomorrow night. The robins are singing away this morning outside my classroom, I hope they don't get buried. Kev <><
  6. I wouldn't think that the water temps will be in the 70's there in late May, maybe though. Here in Maine, water temps are still pretty low in late May. Kev <><
  7. Hey everybody, I'm new to this forum. I live in west/central Maine. I love fishing small rivers, one is across the road from my house. I teach school, so having my summers off, I fish this river about 4-5 days per week, July and August. The trout, as well as a few Salmon are really coming back. I like dry flies the best. I'll catch anything that that bites the fly, I love smallmouth bass. Kev <><
  8. Hot glue float, sink or neutral? Kev <><
  9. I love those buggers! Kev <><
  10. I'm in West/central Maine. When fishing the small rivers here in late April and early May I use a small yellow streamer (size 10-14). This does fairly well on Brookies and Browns. Kev <><
