Yea, it's sad what that river has gone to. I remember fishing with my dad in this one spot and didn't see much garbage. This year, it was all over. I did however make some money on the beer cans return. Now I know why I have been concentrating on the west rivers. Don't think I will head to that river for awhile again. Hey Pat, So far my plans are open. Except for hitting the books. I never have shot a muzzleloader but would be interested in learning. To answer you question on M-S, I am pretty sure the boardman is not a good choice. They only passed 4 fish the whole year at the wier. My buddy who fishes the river everyday didn't see many steelies jump the ladder when they opened the wier and I know below the wier, there is only about 3/4 to a mile to float. I haven't done it, but surf fishing might be a possibility or the betsie, platte, ect. This week I am going to ty up a whole bunch of spawn bags for next week. I will let you know how I do. I read the magazine evewr so often. Like mention above it is more geared towards our brothers in the NW but when there is an article in teh great lakes, I make sure to read it.

I ended up being there that weekend and didn't remember about your clean up wil I was there. I did do a little cleaning though. That river really really needs it. Hey, I got a email today telling me to sign up on this forum from someone(don't know who). I have checked it out previously but didn't sign up. Now I see all my buddies that I don't talk to all that much are here so I thought I would sign up and say "hi." Can't wait to read about your adventures again. For anyones that cares, lol my name is Dan. I am currently going to college In T.C. but live in troy. I don't know much about fly fishing so I hope to learn some stuff here. My biggest fish on a flyrod was a 15 inch crappie on a fly that shoe gave me. Thanks buddy. My favorite fish to fish for aur salmon.Instead of rifle hunting this year, I took up an invitation with Northern_outdoorsman. I experiance my first autumn steelhead. It was awsome. Well, that's it.
