  1. Got mine in today. They look great. Can't wait to try them out. I've been wanting a sinking line anyway. I think this swap will sway the budget that way. Thanks for Hosting Jimboha.
  2. Wifey sent mine out on Wednesday. You should be getting them early this week. If you haven't already.
  3. I hate holding up a swap, but I'm still waiting on materials from flyshop. They said they would be in sometime this week, Then I get to twist 'em up. -Ben
  4. With that species hit list. You'll probably be cranking out lots of streamers (other than for the brookies). I would re-iterate the "choose a few patterns and get those materials" advice. You may not even need any feathers for the patterns you want to tie. Patterns that come to mind are woolly buggers, clouser minnows, and zonkers. The buggers will use feathers (marabou and hackle), but there are variations that don't use hackle, but some different chenilles to get a similar effect (ESTAZ). Good luck and have fun. Don't get too overwhelmed with the details.
  5. Here is what mine will attempt to look like. (Orange and pink). I'm waiting on materials. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v142/benmz/20121110_123401.jpg
  6. It's no big deal. I haven't put the flies in my box yet, so I'll try to take a pic in a few days and put it up if you guys are still interested. -Ben
  7. Alright, I'll have to dig out a pattern that a local guy tweeked. But I'm in. -Ben
  8. Got all flies in last night and sorted them. I'll be heading to the post office this AM to send them out. This is a really cool assortment of stoneflies. Amazing how many different ways we can imitate a bug. With the stoneflies molting, these will be great flies for any open water in the next few months. If anyone is missing any flies, please let me know. I did my best at keeping track of the sorting, but there is a chance I missed one. There should be 9 flies a piece. Please post once you recieve them. -Ben
  9. Hey folks, Just wanted to let you know that I'm still waiting for one set of flies. I am going away with family until Sunday, so I won't be able to sort and send the flies until next Monday. If I get them before I leave, I'll try to send them before we go, but it doesn't look likely at this time. With the stoneflies becoming more active, I can't wait to get these flies wet and fool some trout, now to get more open water around here is another story. -Ben

  11. Swap status update. Thanks everyone for participating. I'm waiting to recieve 2 more sets of flies. It seems they are in the mail. As soon as I get them I'll sort them out, take a photo of the group and send them out. One person's plastic box was demolished by US mail. I'll get a replacement. Unfortunately, we had one tier drop out, so if it's OK with you I'll be donating the extra flies to the local chapter of TU for their kids summer camp. Otherwise I can send everyone back their own fly. Let me know what you would prefer.
  12. Hey Gents, For some reason I haven't been getting notifications from the forum, so some folks have had their flies complete and nowhere to send them. With a 2 year old and long hours at work it's hard to check this thing often enough. So here is the address to send the flies. Ben Zomer 2943 Stockbury Dr Fort Collins CO 80525
  13. Hey swappers, I have 4 sets of flies plus mine. We've got only about a week or so left. If anyone has any issues getting their flies out let me know. -Ben
  14. So I've gotten 2 sets of flies so far. We've got a few more weeks to go. Here is my contribution, a yellow jumbo john, size 10.
  15. Got mine the other day. They all look fantastic. Thanks for Hosting and everyone for tying some delicious looking flies. Ben
