Close as I have fished is in Central Vermont, The Lemoille and Mad rivers and several small brooks in and around Stowe and Hyde Park. Good trout better smallmouth fishing in the rivers all the brooks are full of 8 inch brookies every now and then a nice 15 plus incher. Shoe , try removing the underfur and just use the gaurd hair and a stacker or try making a loop around the base of the hair wing with the thread and use a drop of head laquer, this makes a more durable wing. Remember the tighter the tie the better. Yuppers wrench that be good ol' Callaway county tree rat for the wing ,I never thought of using an Atlantic salmon pattern for bronze backs . Sorry for the late reply Ladykiller , I lost my Maternal Grandmother the first part of the week and have just now had the time to think about what I would like to trade for . 2 each zoo cougars in size 6 and size 8 Colors:Olive , Natural, and Tan 2 each Madonna's with cone heads in size 6 Colors: Black, White, and natural 2 each Madonna's with cone heads in size 6 of the 3 varigated colors you have. Sound like a fair trade? If ya want to give them a fuzzier body try using like dyed Mallard flanks and cut out three or four strands, tie them in by the tips and twist them a little then wrap the body and follow with your wire, don't cement though as you will lose the fuzzy effect. Have you tried using V rib or Larva lace? Both give you a shiny finish and eleminate the wire rib, and they are damned tough to boot, 14 eh? glasses are a good idea , If you want to be able to see at 44 as good as you do at 14 ,that is, then enough said. Yes Shoe sounds like we do fish a lot a like. Nope i just watch the slack in my line unless the water is moving really fast then I will use a Indicater. I like to fish the eddies and break lines in the current and a bobber to me has become cumbersome . Wrench doesn't use one either. Try varying the color of the hackle and the bead to like an Iron blue dun soft hackle and silver bead. KILLER!!!!! Tube
