SalarMan 0 Report post Posted April 18 While poking around the internet last night I learned that NASA is predicting/expecting another special celestial event sometime in 2024. They expect an exploding star (nova or supernova) which will be visible to the naked eye. According to them this is an event that happens about every 80 years...AKA once in a lifetime. And to think I was about to get rid of my old telescope, but I think I'll hang onto it for a while yet...you never know.
Heff2 0 Report post Posted April 18 Very neat, I took my 5yo to watch the eclipse and she has been pretty space focused since then. My telescope will be headed to her room once her little sister stops destroying her stuff just for fun.
