Greetings from Alaska

Recommended Posts

I am new to tying and started fly fishing a few years ago. Love the sport!! Since I am living in Alaska and the water is frozen for six months out of the year, I am forced to cut a hole in the ice. Why am I having diffuculty getting the fly into the hole? What is the best fly to use that doesn't get caked in ice? And why do the other fishermen laugh and point at me when I am out on the lake? Am I the only person who ice flyfishes? biggrin.gif This could be the start of a whole new sport. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

If anyone has any questions about Alaska, send me an email.

welcome aboard.............our lakes are just now starting to skim over (SW Ohio). We need another deep freeze week so I can get out on the ice.
