Russ 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I am new to tying and started fly fishing a few years ago. Love the sport!! Since I am living in Alaska and the water is frozen for six months out of the year, I am forced to cut a hole in the ice. Why am I having diffuculty getting the fly into the hole? What is the best fly to use that doesn't get caked in ice? And why do the other fishermen laugh and point at me when I am out on the lake? Am I the only person who ice flyfishes? This could be the start of a whole new sport. If anyone has any questions about Alaska, send me an email.
