I've been one of those "bait flingers" for most of my 30+ years, but about a year ago a couple friends introduced me to the serenity of hanging flies in trees and shrubs, and wrapping lines around logs after first sliding on one's backside down the icy bank, and the like. So I took it up. Then, I get an invite to Sage8wt's place to learn to tie. Between him and Day5 and some others (whose names escape me) I'm soon encouraged to stick the maribou and chenille coated heroin spike deep in my veins. (My wife just came downstairs and patted me on the head and said, "Have fun..." and walked away. :help: ) Oh, yeah, the name loosely translates in my ancestral Finnish (Yes, I WAS born in the U.P., Thank You!) to "trout fisherman" in case you were puzzled.
