Devil mantis - Wandering violing mantis

How about a larger picture and a side view, too, Andre's. That rascal looks spectacular; I'd just like to see larger images and more of them so I can appreciate him more!

Hi Andrés T,

WOW!!! I've seen some incredible macro photography of these mantis, and they are one of the most amazing bugs alive. Here's a link to some macro pix...

I would also very much like to see and admire a larger photo of your fly.

Hello,

you are right about the size. I worked on the original one (2272 x 1704 - 1.13MB) to reduce it and so send it easilly. I usually send an E-mail to myself to reduce size, but this time ( I don´t know why) they reduced it to the minimun. As you can see, I have no idea how to work on pictures :dunno:

Well I´ll try to send the original one this time.

It looks as if it has worked, let´s see....

Hello,

Donrf, IlikeFish, Harold Ray, thank you very much!

This mantis is a Gongylus gongyloides (Linneus,1758). It comes from India. There it lives in sunny places into the woods, savannahs and meadows.
