I fish them down and across and get most strikes on the swing

River, very nice fly as mean as that looks I would fish it any way it wanted. ROFL I would throw upstrean and let it flow down, with a gentle tug to either side. I would pay close attention to the stream bank.

Very nice fly but I can not tell how it was tied. What is the body material. Gold wire for the ribbibg and Guinne Hackle at the front. Would you elaborate a bit more on what the materials are, how they are tied, how many wraps of hackle and so on. It would be helpful to those of us that are beginners.
