Guest Report post Posted June 1, 2008 I've been trying without success to find someone who sells 3/8" foam cylinders in chartreuse color for making Todd's Wiggle Minnow. Can anyone give me a link or a phone # to a vendor that'll do mail orders? Thanks in advance. John

CoachBob 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2008 Here's what you do. Go to www.softtiles.com and order a handful of foam mats in various colors. (These are $1.45 each and are usually used a floors for kids rooms. You have to buy a dozen to make shipping worthwhile.) Then go to www.harborfreight.com and buy a hollow punch set ($4.99). You now have the equipment to make foam cylinders in 9 sizes for the rest of your life for any pattern that calls for one.
Guest Big E Report post Posted June 2, 2008 what about foamie earplugs? Its a long shot but they come in all different colors and just maybe sizes.
JSzymczyk 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 softtiles doesn't seem to have chartreuse... netcraft has the soft foam cylinders, but only in white. They say it takes color well from sharpie markers, and there is a sharpie pretty close to chartreuse- bright yellow/green at least. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/bug-popper-bodies/645141.aspx

Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2008 I designed todd's wiggle minnow, I know you did, and a fine fly it is. Good job  I saw it in either in "Hatches" or on this site (last year or the year before?) and just never got around to ordering the materials and tying some up. Thanks for the tip- I'll give 'em a call tomorrow. John
