Thanks to Charlie Meck, this flashy fly has become one of my favorite attractor's; the cutthroats around the Tetons like them as much as I do. In keeping with the patriotic theme, these three were tied on the 4th of July.

If you want to tie a killer caddis pattern use a similar body with a calftail over elk hair wing. The trout here in Idaho love it. Also, love that pic! Take care & ...

Neat idea Al, I will try the elk hair variation and see how patriotic Wyoming trout are during a heavy caddis hatch.

 

This was a hurried photo - not a very good perspective - but add a safety pin and dress up your favorite fishing hat.
